VAMED AG announced today, Monday, the successful completion of the sale of the majority of the post-acute business (in particular rehabilitation clinics) to PAI Partners (‘PAI’). The transaction was announced in early May this year. The division, which also includes specialized healthcare services in the areas of prevention, acute care and nursing, has approximately 13,000 employees and provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to around 100,000 patients per year in various European countries.

As part of the transaction, the majority of the post-acute business will be transferred to a new, independent company under the umbrella of the new majority owner PAI as of 1 October 2024.
